Terraced Fields

After our early morning journey to Mt Batur and the coffee plantation, we had a late second breakfast (lunch?) back at Kabinawa Villas.

After some chill time we went back out to see some terraced rice fields in the area. There were lots of commercialized terraced rice fields in the neighborhood complete with zip lines and pools, we opted for one of the simpler options: Mupu Rice Terrace behind Tis Cafe.

On the way back out we noticed these very orange coconuts.

Turns out it’s natural.

Terraced agriculture (as you probably know) has been around since 12,000 BCE, and some have been continuously used for 4,000 years (data thanks to Google). (Please excuse my Googling.)
