The fourth day of our Chiang Mai trip we spent in Doi Inthanon National Park.
At the Top
We started at the cloud forest at the summit. The mountaintop peat bog was neat to see from the Ang Ka Nature Trail (เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติอ่างกา). The cool weather was delightful to feel.

Standing at the highest point in Thailand was an added bonus.

Pha Dok Sieo Nature Trail
When we finished at the summit, we descended to the Pha Dok Sieo Nature Trail (เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติผาดอกเสี้ยว) trailhead. I enjoyed the guided walk. Both the waterfalls and the terraced rice fields were particularly beautiful.

It was also neat to see small scale, in-jungle coffee growing as well as someone doing traditional weaving.

More Waterfalls
After the hike, we waited out some heavy rain, while eating a late lunch at the Inthanon Restaurant in The Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon. Due to the rain, we did not explore the gardens, but we were able to see Siriphum Waterfall (น้ำตกสิริภูมิ) from the restaurant.

On our way out of the park we stopped at Wachirathan Waterfall (น้ำตกวชิรธาร).

We squeezed in one final waterfall on our way back to our lodging: Mae Klang Waterfall (น้ำตกแม่กลาง), inside the park, but outside the main gate.
