Football Tryouts

The anticipatory energy in the air was palpable when I went to pick up our children at the end of the school yesterday. It seemed as though all the 4th and 5th graders (and even some students as young as 1st grade) were in a hurry to get changed for the U-11 Football tryouts.

Both girls and boys tryouts started before 3:00 and our children didn’t come home until after 5:00. Despite all that time in the Thai heat, our children came home still full of excitement about the possibility of making the team.

I am sure it is fun seeing the children being a part of a new adventure. Is the school all American children and is football played the same way as we know it?

The school follows an American curriculum, but the student body comes from all over the world, though the majority are Thai; American and Chinese students are the next largest groups.
Football is played the way we play soccer.
