Luang Prabang

TAEC

We started our last full day in Luang Prabang at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC). It is a very small, but well crafted museum summarizing the peoples of Laos and some of their traditional arts.

The kids section at the back had some fun dress up clothes and little crafts.

Sunset Cruise

To wrap up our time in Luang Prabang, we went on a sunset cruise. There were lots of operators along the river. We went with Sa Sa Sunset Cruise, in part due to my aversion to diesel fumes. Despite the claims of electric propulsion, at least when pulling away from the dock headed upstream, I would contend a diesel motor was contributing to our propulsion. Also, their advertised “surprises” proved a bit anticlimactic to me. Nevertheless, we had a beautiful cruise on the Mekong.
