Hội An

Our time in Hội An was a very chill time.

Tailoring

Our first evening in Hội An, after a quick stop at Bánh Mì Phượng for sandwiches,

Bánh Mì Phượng had lots of photos
of the visit they received from Anthony Bourdain

we went to find a tailor. It took us a few stops to find one with whom we felt comfortable. When we hired IZI, all we knew was the shop attendants were ready to help, but not pushy, and it was easy to look through their fabric selection. When the time for adjustments came, we were pleased with their readiness to work with our daughter to make her more comfortable in her dress. When we picked up our final clothes, we loved how they looked and how they felt.

Beach Walk

After our first night in Hội An after playing a little three-cushion carom at our hotel

we grabbed some Vietnamese flavored Lays and went for a walk on the beach.

Lantern Making

That afternoon while waiting for our fitting appointment, we went to the Lantern Lady. The kids enjoyed making lanterns, I enjoyed sitting by the river, and my wife enjoyed a little unaccompanied shopping time.

Bicycle Taxi

Before picking up our completed tailoring from IZI, we went to see Chùa Cầu.

On our way back from the 16th century bridge, we hired a bicycle taxi (our kids had been hoping for the right opportunity. As an added bonus, the driver let me do the driving.
