We celebrated the first day of Songkran (สงกรานต์) in Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น). Sonkran is a Thai holiday that is three days long. It is a giant water fight, but you have to make sure that the person you are splashing or squirting wants to be wet. A lot of people will ride in the bed of a pickup truck and splash or squirt other people in pickup trucks or people on the sidewalk. Most schools and businesses are closed for April 13th, 14th, and 15th. Isaac and I had fun squirting people on the sidewalk and people in the back of pickup trucks.
After Isaac and I were done squirting other people, we went to the parade root and got to see the parade.
After the parade we went back to our hotel.
