We had a day off school for Father’s Day (also the birthday of King Bhumibol the Great) and took a quick trip North to Ayutthaya (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with friends.
This ancient capital surrounded by rivers was a treat to explore.
We also enjoyed our lunch at Coffee Old City.

Are those marshmallow eggs in the basket. I always liked eggs on my pancakes and syrup but it seems like that shape of an egg would hard to lay. It’s my understanding that if you cross a chicken with a cement mixer you get a brick layer. Must have been a small cement mixer.
The eggs were marshmallows, and the nest was a confection I can best describe as rustic cotton candy.
That is amazing architecture!
Some estimate that in 1700 it was the largest city in the world.
