Saturday we woke up to a cool (rainy) morning and decided to go for a bike ride around the airport on the Happy & Healthy Bike Lane (สนามปั่นจักรยานเจริญสุขมงคลจิต). The rental bikes were the nicest we’ve seen in Thailand (and correspondingly the most expensive). FYI: You’ll need your passport the first time you go.
The flat paved 23.5 km went by smoothly. Our kids commented that this was the first time they felt cold while outdoors in Thailand.
We followed up our trip around the airport with a trip to the 747 Cafe where our kids enjoyed playing in the cockpit.
We’d recommend the bike path to anyone who enjoys cruising on nice open pavement with frequent opportunities for bathrooms and drink vending machines. We’d recommend the 747 Cafe to anyone in the Suvarnabhumi area who enjoys planes.
